From Bride to Mother —
A Beauty Journey with Joana
The kind of connection that becomes more than just makeup.
Every now and then, a client becomes something more. A muse, a friend, a soul whose life you get to walk alongside — through vows, through seasons, through change.
Joana first came to me as a bride. She was radiant, thoughtful, and deeply intentional about how she wanted to look and feel on her wedding day. We created a look that celebrated her skin — glowing, soft, effortless — and hair that moved with grace through every quiet, meaningful moment. As her Sydney wedding makeup artist, I was honoured to be part of that first chapter.
But that wasn’t the end.
Soon came her post-wedding photoshoot, then her first pregnancy, and then the gentle arrival of her baby. And again, for her second pregnancy, and the birth of her second child. Joana brought me back into those sacred milestones.
Each time, I had the privilege of preparing her for the camera, for memory, for life. From maternity makeup and hair to newborn photoshoot styling, we built beauty that felt aligned with who she was, and who she was becoming.
Through these seasons, what began as a bridal service became a friendship. We’ve shared stories about our children, our careers, and the ever-changing rhythm of womanhood. Her trust in me has been one of the most profound honours of my career.
